While ProntoForms routinely talks about how the future of business is with mobile forms, there are plenty of other mobile technology advancements on the way. We came across this intriguing article from the Leader Post, where they discuss some of the possibilities in our mobile future.

Most of of the tech-savvy readers out there have heard of the Google Glass project, a screen mounted on eyeglass frames to access the Web, email, etc. It’s certainly a captivating technological idea.

But for our money, you have to love the idea of the employment of organic-light-emitting diodes, or OLED. Apparently, it’s a technology that will allow the future ability to fold up or bend a device. OLED is an incredibly strong display technology that’s most likely to grow in popularity with device makers. The key is to develop chips and parts that can match the durability of OLED.

Imagine being able to have a large mobile device screen for navigation, with the ability to fold it up and put it in your pocket when you’re done. Amazing.

Now, this isn’t a technology that’s going to hit the shelves any time soon, but you can be sure that ProntoForms is taking notes and watching related developments.

Who knows, maybe one day you’ll be folding up your mobile forms, just as you did when you were still using the paper variety.
