ProntoForms makes lives easier for technicians working in the field. Our solution helps them improve the speed, quality, and flexibility of data collection on the go. No more juggling stacks of paper. With our latest mobile features, filling forms in the field becomes even easier.
We’ve supported dispatching for a while: administrators can send partially-filled forms into the field with just a few clicks so technicians receive job assignments right on their mobile devices, with no trip to the office required. We’re now introducing some new ways technicians can organize forms in the mobile inbox.
Tags
When building a form, admins can apply any number of tags that technicians can use to sort the forms in their forms app by function. If they’re looking for a certain safety inspection form or timesheet, but they’re not sure of the exact title, they can simply search for the appropriate tags. The list will condense to show only the relevant forms, making their search quick and intuitive.
Inbox Organization
Being able to dispatch to technicians in the field is key, but when multiple forms are dispatched in one push, it’s important to communicate to technicians when jobs are due, which are the most important, and their location.
Due Date
The due date view shows the forms with the nearest due date at the top, and can have only a date, or a time as well. Being able to sort by date enables technicians to plan their days around when customers are expecting them, and reminds them when scheduled items such as weekly timesheets or monthly inspections are coming up.
Priority
Apply High, Medium, or Low priority settings when dispatching a form. These priority settings assist technicians in judging which jobs to do first. Move emergency repairs that affect compliance or safety to the top of the list, aesthetic repairs to the bottom.
Map
The admin knows precisely where a technician needs to be and when, and so should the technician. Whether it’s an office building, a build site, or a pipeline in the middle of nowhere, if the location has a GPS coordinate – and they all do – technicians can now view upcoming jobs on a map on their mobile app and plan their day accordingly.
Plot a route
Technicians aren’t using paper forms anymore, and they shouldn’t have to use paper maps. With our latest release*, technicians can pull up their route using their phone’s default map app, which will guide them straight to the job at hand. Once they’re done navigating, the tech can jump right back into ProntoForms for a smooth transition from travel to work.
*Plot a route is available on the ProntoForms iOS app version 8.2.1, coming soon in Android 7.5
